چکیده

Equilibrium constants have been determined for the formation of 15 different zirconocene monomethyl monochloro complexes from the respective dichloride complexes and AI2 (CH3)6' The results indicate that the tendency of a particular zirconocene complex to exchange a chloride against a methyl ligand is a measure for the electron deficiency at its Zr center. The results indicate particularly low electron densities for complexes with indenyl instead of cyclopentadienylligands, especially for those containing a dimethylsilyl bridge. Only one methyl group is transferred to a zirconocene dichloride even by a large excess of AI2(CH3 )6' while the uptake of two alkyl groups, followed by alkane evolution, is observed with triethyl and triisobutyl aluminum.

The ansa-zirconocene complex rac-Me(2)Si(1-indenyl)(2)ZrCl(2) ((SBI)ZrCl(2)) reacts with diisobutylaluminum hydride and trityl tetrakis(perfluorophenyl)borate in hydrocarbon solutions to give the cation [(SBI)Zr(μ-H)(3)(Al(i)Bu(2))(2)](+), the identity of which is derived from NMR data and supported by a crystallographic structure determination. Insertion and isomerisation of internal olefins at alkylaluminium hydride: catalysis with zirconocene dichloride.

The insertion of internal olefins (hydroalumination) and chain walking isomerisation at di-n-octylaluminium hydride [Al(Oct)2H], promoted by zirconocene dichloride [Cp2ZrCl2] has been studied. The reaction between [Cp2ZrCl2] and [Al(Oct)2H] in non-polar solvents leads to clusters containing bridging hydride ligands between Zr and Al. This system promotes hydroalumination of 1-octene but is larg...

A series of dissymmetric dinuclear complexes were synthesized, as dual site catalysts in ethylene polymerization, by coupling the allylated a-diimine complexes of the metals Ti, Zr, V, Ni and Pd with the ansa-zirconocene complex [C5H4-SiH(Me)-C5H4]ZrCl2 possessing a hydride silane moiety. The different stages of syntheses included the formation of bis(cyclopentadienide)methyl silane which was u...

Titanium and zirconium complexes of the N,N'-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,4-diaza-butadiene ligand: syntheses, structures and uses in catalytic hydrosilylation reactions.

We report here a number of dianionic 1,4-diaza-1,3-butadiene complexes of titanium and zirconium synthesised by a salt metathesis reaction. The reaction of either CpTiCl3 or Cp2TiCl2 with the dilithium salt of N,N'-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,4-diaza-1,3-butadiene [; abbreviated (Dipp)2DADLi2] afforded the mono-cyclopentadienyl titanium complex [η(5)-CpTi((Dipp)2DAD)Cl] () bearing a dianionic ...
